I began sewing at age 10, thus beginning my career in fashion design: intense barbie doll creations, yearly school wardrobe changes, a fascination with art, beauty, style. I graduated college with a BA in studio art and a minor in painting, I have worked at CornellĀ  University in graphic design and as a costumer/draper in Cornell’s theater department. Around age 38 (!) I took advantage of extramural education in textiles and apparel at the School of Human Ecology focusing on patterning and draping.

I have a passion for the interplay of color and textiles and always come back to the beauty and sparkle of beads. As a freelance designer and custom dressmaker I have spent the last 15 years creating one of a kind garments for an artistic boutique in Ithaca, NY (Fibers). I feel there is a strong need to dress the “mature figure” in elegant and stylish clothes. Watching the ever changing fashion scene through the sixties, seventies, eighties…….etc, I have the history, knowledge, passion and artistic vision to create a brand new trend in fashion. I live in the quaint village of Ludlowville, NY with my husband who is my biggest supporter. We have two grown sons.
