ChelRita Designs was founded by two fashion-forward women who each grew up being their own worst enemy when it came to fashion. All the negative comments on the way our bodies look and being told we can’t wear certain styles put a negative outlook on us, as women and individuals. Together they created a fashion label that is dedicated to designing clothing that enables all women to feel sexy, strong, beautiful, and empowered no matter what size or shape our bodies might be. We want women to love the way our clothes feel and look on us and not to be discouraged from shopping.
Margarita Ortiz is a Fashion Designer and Co-Founder of ChelRita designs inspired to make all feel comfortable no matter the stigmas that have been shaped by society. She is a well-rounded individual that has been modeling since the age of 12 years old. Margarita has been a part of a model agency which has given her the opportunity to model for Legoland, the family fun magazine, the Boston Globe magazine, IBM security commercials, etc. Margarita has undergone people in the industry that has told her she was too curvy to model, and for this reason, she decided to come into fashion create a line that would give women of all creeds the opportunity to be heard through fashion. ChelRita Designs is meant to give women a sense of empowerment and because her overall personality is full of fire, Margarita intends on making everyone around her feel beautiful and capable of anything they set their heart to.
Chelsie Gray is Fashion Designer and Co-Founder of ChelRita Designs who designs and brings to market fashion for women of all body images.
Before starting a fashion company, Chelsie spent four years studying fashion and design at Griswold High School. After working many positions in retail clothing stores such as Macy’s, Express and Forever 21, Chelsie applied her knowledge of fashion and consumer trends and formed ChelRita Designs with Margarita Ortiz.
Chelsie loves music and draws great inspiration from it. You’ll always find her jammin’ while she is designing.
