Fashion, as defined in simplest form, is a manner of doing something; synonyms depicted as a mode, method, or manner. Well, if this is fashions’ definition then my picture should be listed as a reference. My entire compass of life, while inspired by others, was determined solely on my own comprehension of self and style. I live with the beat of my own drum and exude this character to further inspire individuality amongst all.
This industry, of fashion, is so broad that it engulfs you in layers of creativeness, keenness to detail, humility and drive; these being key ingredients to becoming successful. Creativity to me is a gift that is meant to be contagious, given from one to another, just from seeing the creation of someone else’s vision . Keenness to detail is more than just if your stitching is correct, but more so if you are knowledgeable of your demographic, your expenses, and so forth. Humility and drive go hand and hand as they are your “yin and yang” both are needed- the drive to continue to embark on new strides, challenge yourself; the humility to understand that everyone path is different and to always show respect and gratitude.
My brand is a modern frontier of the fashion world. Since it’s conception, our motto has been “don’t fit in, stand out” which is a motto my team carries with them on a daily basis. My clothing isn’t made to fit the right woman but the right soul no matter who you are. Which is why we are strong supporters of the LGBT community, and are overjoyed that our poster “Slayer” is part of the Trans family, spreading the mindset that we all have our own mode -and darling, that’s Fashion at its best.
Since I was a little girl, I was obsessed with fashion. You could always find me trying on mother’s clothes and shoes; walking around the house putting on my own fashion shows for friends and family. I would spend countless hours looking through magazines in absolute awe- engrossing myself in colors, patterns, and prints. I was the friend that could be counted on to help with arranging outfits for school. I would take hours at night getting my outfit ready for the next day, As I grew older, I realized fashion was my calling. Which is why I founded and created Kloset Slayer. My desire is to create clothing for anyone and everyone. At Kloset Slayer, we cater to all sizes and orientation. Our models come in all shapes, sizes, and race. Our desire is to make all feel empowered, beautiful, and confident enough to walk around with heads high. Kloset Slayer is more then just a clothing brand, it’s a way of life. So prepare to slay!!
