I met April at the mall. There, I was immediately inspired by her personality and her taste in fashion. I was fascinated by her clothing combination. As I walked home a bunch of fashion ideas unfolded in my head. A couple of days later, I bought myself a sketchbook with some pencils and sketched my first jeans. I named the brand after her, BLAKK APRIL, because we both wore black that day and her name is April. A week after that, I scavenged every bit of fashion knowledge I could gather, from fashion tutorial videos on YouTube to fashion magazines, or fashion techniques from friends. A year later, I launched my first unisex street wear jeans and t-shirts line so the fashion world can see and feel the era of a brand new style within their bones. There are already too many mediocre designers’ clothing brand in the fashion world nowadays, so I devote myself to fix it, even if I have to sketch on entire collection into the dark. I believe people were starving for something authentic. People will recognize your unique style and confidence as you walk down the street wearing BLAKK APRIL clothing brand.
Boujoly Roosevelt Boucard was born in December 31 in Carrefour, Haiti. At the age of 18 years old, He immigrated to Queens Village, New York, with his family. Promptly after that, he went to Jamaica Learning Center to pursue his high school education. In his teenage years, he developed a fervor for fashion. Many people were impressed by his clothing style at his school. A few years later, he launched his first streets wear jeans and t-shirts clothing line; fashion was a second nature to him. In addition, his hobby and interest naturally encouraged him to growth his knowledge in fashion.
