GeorgAnnette designer of GeorgAnnette Chatterley was originally from Portland Oregon who moved to Boston to attend Massachusetts College of Art and Design. As a fashion design major she received awards for design and excellence, ranking first in her class. In May 2011, GeorgAnnette earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts, graduating with departmental honors. She has shown pieces in both school and benefit fashion shows as well as showcased her collection Provocation at Boston Fashion Week 2011. Through fashion week, internships and freelance work she has built strong relationships in the industry. Her collection focuses on eco-friendly and sustainable methods to create new collections of innovative street wear for men and women.
GeorgAnnette Designs center on the fusion of couture pieces and wearable designs. Some of her pieces consist of heavy use structured materials such as leather and denim. Also prevalent is creating innovative textiles thru fabric manipulations such as distressing, layering and weaving. Through the use of these techniques, custom handmade pieces become accessible as street wear with an unconventional edge. GeorgAnnette embraces a redefined approach to everyday wearable art and emphasizes the stylistic significance of one of a kind garments.
GeorgAnnette will present her collection in this year’s Plitzs New York City Fashion Week February 2013 hosted by PLITZS Fashion Marketing. Her collection will be presented at 10:30 PM Friday February 8th at the W Hotel in Midtown NYC.
