Karlene Lindsay Designs is in the business of satisfying the needs of its customers and producing the high quality products in the Fashion Industry. Karlene Lindsay Designs emerged from a dream into a reality in February 2012, by selling bags to friends and family. Later that year we participated in numerous fashion events, one of which was Connecticut Fashion Week. We soared to higher heights when we launched our website in 2013. Jenise Durant was on the cover of P.I.F.F. magazine wearing her winning dress made by Karlene Lindsay Designs. Our designs went down the runway at Jersey City /Football Fashion Week, from that we were featured on New Jersey Newspapers and on television. We were also featured at Great Lakes Fashion Week from that we were featured on Fox 8 News.

Karlene started sewing at the age of 9… sewing a pleated skirt by hand in St. Catherine, Jamaica. Years after shew has opened her own studio at home where she sews garments like kids school uniforms, office wear, and dancehall outfits. Between that time and now she’s been honing her skill. After studying at Gibbs College for three years, she acquired a position at an occasion store, called Blue Tulip, which sold gifts for every occasion. Bags were one of the highlights of the store’s stock and it was from here that she got the idea to start making bags. You see, she realized that some of what was on sale could have come from her very own hands; so she made a few. Showing her mother the bags she made, her mother suggested she start her own business. Karlene started out by selling bags to friends and family at bag parties hosted by friends. She has her items of clothing featured in numerous fashion shows throughout the country. Now she has branched out into building her own website to display her beautiful work and different social media sites with a Facebook page with our 6,000 likes.
