Ashleigh Holmes is a freelance fashion designer that loves to create custom clothing and jewelry for custom people. From a very young age Ashleigh had a passion for arts and crafts. Little did she know this passion would mold her life into what it is today. In 2005, Ashleigh began working as a fashion designer creating clothing for herself, others and participated in her first fashion show in 2007 at her high school. After high school she attended Marymount University as a Fashion Design major. Graduating in 2011 with Bachelors in Art, Ashleigh continued freelancing under the name A.Renee Fashion. Ashleigh’s specialization is in women’s sportswear and formal wear, but nothing limits what Ashleigh can do. She has been featured at Bloomingdale’s in Chevy Chase, Maryland, The Falkner Shakespeare Library (where her artwork remains), MD Fashion Week Push and Pull for Pink, Marymount University’s Portfolio in Motion two years in a row, Small Boutique Fashions Week and the USAID partnership program. Continuing to build her resume through opportunities that come her way Ashleigh has dedicated herself to making a difference in not only her life but the lives of others as well.
In 2010, Ashleigh broadened the reaches of A.Renee Fashion expanding to jewelry design. Creating custom handmade jewelry, A.Renee Fashion has been able to reach multiple people of different backgrounds and continue to network and grow as a company.
Philanthropic at heart, Ashleigh started a nonprofit corporation entitled ‘Designing for a Cure Inc. in 2010 that uses artistic means to raise money for incurable diseases. Ashleigh is the Executive Director of Designing for a Cure, who works in close connection with the multiple organizations that support rare and incurable diseases. Ashleigh Holmes is making small steps to make a difference in the world one day at a time.
Ashleigh Holmes will present her collection in this year’s Plitzs New York City Fashion Week February 2013 hosted by PLITZS Fashion Marketing. Her collection will be presented at 5:30 PM Friday February 8th at the W Hotel in Midtown NYC.
