Down through the corridors of history time has forged venues of passion descried by the many Arts. David Hunter is one of those gifted artists.

When the stressors of life and living build to a crescendo, humans have employed the time honoured shopping spree to lessen our anxieties. The acquisition of a new wardrobe is enough to un-ruffle the feathers of the most discriminating of Divas .

Hailing from the headwaters of the Tigris River, the ancient cultural hub of the Mesopotamian Civilization (from the Greek meaning between two rivers), David Al-Shimiri unveils his recent creations which reflect the old world values from the “cradle of civilization—wherein he highlights the stunning artistic achievements s of the Sumerian Empire—presenting his fashion masterpieces in a manner that is certain to appeal to even the most discriminating of today’s sophisticated seeker.

The product of royal lineage, David’s grandmother was a Princess of the Far East. David gravitated to the arena of artistic endeavor before reaching his teenage years. In his younger years he employed his imagination to craft finely honed paintings depicting representations of different time periods from the “Golden Age” of his ancestral home. David entered and won national competitions with his theatrical designs both in music, choreography and apparel design. He officiated for nationally themed events.

Tragically, David’s family became victims of the war that ravaged his country. Following the death of his parents, David came to the United States where he was granted refugee status. Rather than succumbing: like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, David continued with his fashion career designing exquisite garments derived from the visions conjured up in his mind’s eye.

One of the cherished chestnuts David carries in his heart from his grandmother is the wisdom of the saying “That what human beings eat they can’t keep; but what human beings give away comes back to them.” So David employs his talent in giving back the beauty of art. Today his fashion statement incorporates a montage of pearls, sequins, semi-precious, and precious stones wherein David highlights the natural beauty created into garments befitting Solomon, the Queen of Sheba, and his own Princess—his grandmother.

While David employs the services of several skilled assistants every gown he features is berthed from his imagination and is painstakingly executed by this designer by his own hand and talent; exclusively and uniquely personally rendering his own touch of elegance of every garment in his line.

David remains available to discuss all of his renderings as well as to consult with fashion designers on an individual basis discussing how, through his influence, they may enhance their own projects and offerings.
