Maelisa Reed is an award-winning lighting designer from Southern California. In 2012
she merged her artistic design and technical skills with her passion for the fashion
industry and founded Amour de la Mer and TeMiti Sportswear. Maelisa is an ocean
and sea-life advocate, and her love of the oceans, beaches and French Polynesia have
been the inspiration for her to create this collection. Her fashion designs, like her
lighting designs, illuminate beauty. This collection is an expression of her adoration of
cultural art, architecture, oceans, island botanicals, and sea life.
Our resort-wear Amour de la Mer is designed with textiles sourced from sustainable
fabric mills. Our ocean-wear, Te Miti Sportswear, is manufactured from recycled
ocean plastics and provides 50+ sun protection.
Our collections are designed for the ocean and resort enthusiast who loves to look
beautiful while strolling along beaches, practicing yoga, snorkeling in a lagoon, or
simply lounging at a resort.
To honor the earth, our brands engage in sustainable efforts in every step of our
manufacturing, general business, and sourcing. We donate a portion of our proceeds
to very important ocean preservation research.
~Where We Give~
The Tetiaroa Society is located in the heart of the South Pacific Ocean on the Marlin
Brando Atoll. The science developed the Tetiaroa eco station, a vitally import research
facility contributes to the preservation the atoll as well as the global conservation of
marine biodiversity.
