Christina M. Lowanga is the She-EO/Designer of Christina Lowanga LLC in the South Los Angeles community of the famous Leimert Park, were she freelances and personally designs for family and friends. Like Rick Owens she studied the craft at Los Angeles Trade Tech, where she graduated and was even awarded the Gold Thimble winner for her evening gown. She was also selected by the fashion department’s chairman, Ms. Anderson to assist Mr. Kanye West with his clothing collection at the time.
Next year makes year 10 that Christina has been on this fashion journey. She is always excited to show and prove her skill. Her aesthetic is to cause disruption to the industry, always taking it up a notch to add break out of her shell and serve the fashion industry her secret missing sauce. She says “I always love witnessing the confidence and lit faces of my client’s reaction to a garment.” Fashion has always been a deep passion of hers ever since she was younger so she looks forward to taking the world on her fashion rollercoaster ride.
