“Where are you going in that Get Up” is the theme for this year’s Charles Josef collection because it’s all about going somewhere. The Charles Josef Brand focuses on luxury attire for people who are fun loving, confident and enjoy the experience of wearing fine clothing. The 2018 collection will be a comprehensive day to night collection for men and women on the go and going places. Charles Josef is inspired by the events and adventures that life brings us and offers something to wear for each one whether it is a vacation overseas or a wedding in the Western North Carolina Mountains.
Charles Josef began to sew and design as a small child with his grandmother and teacher, a sample seamstress, in the New York Garment District. This childhood interest turned into not only a lifelong passion, but a true calling which shows in every garment that he designs. Charles has designed for men, women and children in every category from underwear to evening wear using his experience in classical tailoring as a guide for every garment. This love of Old world tailoring is the common thread in all of his garments. Charles started his business in Charlotte, NC then moved to Atlanta, Ga where he designed for Atlanta society women for 13 years. Most recently he has moved his business to Asheville, NC and caters to private clients in the region as well as boutique retailers who carry independent designer ready to wear. His specialty is finely made luxury evening and bridal attire however a full range of custom design services are offered in his Asheville atelier.
