On February 18, 2016 Say YES to Hope (sayyestohope.org) and advanced cancer patients from around the country will share the spotlight as the charity partner at PLITZS New York City Fashion Week Show (Plitzs.com).  Each year thousands of celebrities, fashion icons, designers, and industry moguls, as well as enthusiastic public clamor to New York Fashion Week in New York, New York.  YES will be bringing the little discussed topic of terminal cancer to this prolific event capturing moments, memories, trends, and fashion.

This venue, which brings cancer education and awareness to the forefront, at the same time allows cancer patients the opportunity to show that is possible to live fully in spite of a horrible and devastating diagnosis. The show will arm attendees with increased awareness and knowledge of living with terminal cancer as a chronic disease. Plitzs New York City Fashion Show, together with YES,  has once again provided the ability to create a day of awareness about those living with metastatic cancers by providing guests with education, resources, support and above all HOPE.

PLITZS will start the day of international fashion with a very special Survivor Showcase. This motivational event will be held the final day of New York City Fashion week on Thursday, February 18 at Hotel Pennsylvania starting at 2:00pm.  The Survivor Showcase will set the tone of HOPE and inspiration for emerging and creative fashion designs from some of the most talented upcoming designers in the world.

YES! is a 501(c)3 organization that was created to empower cancer patients with information to help improve quality of life and offer hope to those who have liver tumors. Approximately 300,000 Americans learn each year that they have either primary liver cancer or cancer that has spread to the liver from other cancers such as breast, carcinoid, colorectal, esophageal, lung, melanomas, neuroendocrine, ovarian, pancreatic, etc. Our mission is to provide information, resources, and support for those who are affected by cancers of the liver. For more information visit www.BeatLiverTumors.org or call the Survivor Line at 877-937-7478.

“When liver tumors are discovered many patients are told, as I was, to get their affairs in order,” said Suzanne Lindley, co-founder and executive director of YES! and 13-year cancer survivor. “We want to let others know that treatment options are available – it is no longer a death sentence and there is hope.”
