La Vill, Mexican fashion house, offers quality and innovation. Its designs evoke dreams and glamorous parties and have been featured in major fashion events throughout the world, such as the New York Fashion Week, International Designers Mexico and Cannes Fashion Week. La Vill has also been a part of an art/fashion fusion project displayed at the Romero Britto Gallery in Mexico City.
It was established in 2009 and it´s self-proclaimed not just like a fashion label, but as a lifestyle. Socialites and fashionistas in Mexico flock the boutique located in the heart of the trendy Condesa neighborhood, where image design, personal shopping and styling services are available as well.
Designer Artemiza Cruz Villafaña, obtained her degree in Fashion Design and Advertising as a graduate of the Jannette Klein University. Artemiza then moved to Paris, where she continued to learn under the tutelage of Jean Michelle, from the house of Jean Paul Gaultier; Madame Murielle, from the house of Nina Ricci, and Madame Picco, from Madame Grés. Additionally, Artemiza holds a Master’s Degree in Fashionl Management Retail and Communication from the European Design Institute in Barcelona.
Due to her talent for innovation and attention to detail, she was granted the “Palmas de Oro” award for best new designer in 2009, showing pieces during the prestigious Fashion Week Mexico event. Her collections have been shown throughout the world, from Washington D.C. to Cannes, and she has established herself as a true design star in her country.
