Broken Pieces is an innovative, unique fashion brand created using unconventional materials to make custom pieces. Her collection includes dresses, skirts, vest, tops, swimwear, belts & purses made completely from basketballs, soccer balls, sneakers, etc. using a technique involving no glue or sewing. Her collection caters to women, men & kids of all ages & sizes. Davonia’s designs have been featured during Miami Swim Week 2021 at fashion shows including Sports Illustrated and the Eido Swimwear Fashion Show where an interview was conducted by MATV Media. She also showcased 2 separate collections during Fashion Week Brooklyn 2021; a kids line in Brooklyn and an adult line in Manhattan for Digital Fashion Week 2021.
Davonia Kearse, born in Syracuse NY, is a self-taught fashion designer. She always loved fashion and styling others. Davonia dared to be different by standing out and creating eye catching and unique looks for herself using non conventional materials. Once people started to take notice and asks for custom pieces she knew she was on to something. She decided to make fashion designer her career and take it more seriously. She came up with the idea to start her first collection last year during the pandemic.
July 1, 2021, she officially launched her Broken Pieces line that included clothing apparel, sportswear & accessories for women, men & kids. Davonia’s plans to open up her own showroom catering to all clientele and becoming a designer/stylist to the stars making custom pieces for top athletes, artists, actresses and models etc…She also hopes to one day collaborate with the NBA and the spotting basketball company to create custom pieces for NBA athletes, their wives, the dancers and cheerleaders, be on the lookout for more from this rising designer the future of fashion.
