Trampalina Fashion Boutique is a small shop located in Mesa, Arizona. I started creating hats a year ago! I have no designer experience other than owning and operating a fashion store for the last 6 1/2 years. I participate in local fashion shows and I wanted to spice up the runway looks with unique designs. I self-taught myself and the hats get better and better, all hand-sewn!
I come across a lot of torn /damaged jewelry and clothing from my store, so instead of throwing it out, I refurbish the pieces and create unique hats. Mixed with crafts, flowers, feathers, and fabric the hats are then brought to life. No hats are ever duplicated.
I also donate a portion of my hat sales to local animal rescue charities.
My name is Tonia Land, I’m from Texas and now reside in Arizona. I came here because I was a flight attendant prior to owning my boutique. I flew before/during/after 9/11. trained in high security, and a flight crew instructor. During my journeys throughout the East and West Coast, Mexico, and Canada, I was able to shop and hunt unique fashions from around the world.
As a side “thing” I sold some of these items from the trunk of my car when I got back to town. I flew for 3 years then transferred to HR at the corporate office for another 3 years. Unfortunately, the times for airlines at that time were hard and there were a lot of merges. In the merge there were thousands of employees laid off, I was one of them!
I decided to fully pursue my fashion “side” job and make it my career and passion! Since then I’ve done several showcases around the valley including all local state fairs, then to a few storefronts and now located at Mesa Marketplace for tourists/locals and snowbirds!
