B.L.O.W (Beauty.Lines.Only.Within) is an Edgy Couture Fashion Label that enhances that sex appeal and classiness of a woman. Founded by Former Fashion Model Asia Shari, the line has graced numerous runway shows around the US and has been nationally publicized in F.A.M.E Live Magazine, Cream Magazine while being worn by Miss Universe Jamaica Chantal Zaky as well as other notable celebrities. B.L.O.W’s mission is to push every woman to exude the true beauty that lies within herself with each garment that is created with love, passion, precision, and hand-sewn by the designer herself Asia Shari.
I Asia Shari am the lead designer and Founder of B.L.O.W- Beauty Lies Only Within. I have been designing clothes personally for 10 years, this showcase will be the latest presentation of this season’s hottest trends. I began designing while attending Wilberforce University, making trips to my hometown of New York City to select fabrics that touched my spirit and would provide inspiration for my up and coming lines. Along with Vintage Fabrics passed along to me from my Mother and Grandmother. Growing up learning how to sew was essential in my household.
I initially started to want to design when my cousin, Tiffany Rhodes, at Butch Diva, where she is the owner and lead designer had a special on tv about her and her dreams of being a designer and all her work and dedication. That’s when my designer creativity really began to take off I would secretly design clothes and cut them out with no idea about construction or patterns.
I self-taught myself how to draft patterns and construct my own designs. Throughout the years I have been professionally modeling in New York, Atlanta, and Miami, which only fine-tuned my attention to detail and I was able to learn new techniques in design. Soon after, I created my vision, *BLOW* (Beauty Lies Only Within) and began to tackle the clothing industry. My inspiration for BLOW came from the fashion industry being rooted in superficiality and being about mainly exterior beauty versus interior. Through this fashion line, I hope to be an advocate and stand for inner beauty, education and community service for myself, my peers, and the youth we hope to positively impact. With this show, my team plans to take BLOW even further.
