Tough Cookie
Tough Cookie was created kind of overnight creating accessories, knitted hats, in my free time. The name just came to me as I was talking to a friend. She ask the name and I said I think I will call it “Tough Cookie” and it just stuck. Then I started to tap into my creativity and picked up sewing. Which wasn’t hard I have a sister and mom that use to sew. I was never interested in the hobby but I could do the basics but after my mom passed away she left me her sewing machine and I wanted to restore it and learn more than just the basics. It hurt that all those years she tried to teach me this gift and I rather do some other teenage stuff like talk on the phone or sleep. But those were some of the best times we spent together doing something simple, talking, and just hanging out. So now when I sew I have a chance to spend that time with her all over again.
Tough Cookie is a replicable of the designer, she says she is “Tough on the outside, but a cookie at heart”. Facing obstacles can change you and make you well… tough. Representing those that believe in their self when no one else did, beating obstacles and making up the rules along the way. She states “She is no role model, but only hopes that she did something right in her lifetime that she can be proud of.”
